Lincoln SMILED!!!

January 22,2009 ... Lincoln smiled at me for the first time!!!! Well, I actually think he smiled before that, but my husband kept saying it was 'gas' (cute uh?)... But, today I know for sure that it's not just him letting himself go...it was me that caused so much happiness in his little life! I started talking to him and he smiled right at me and started making those cute cooing sounds babies start to make. I love it when they hit this point in life, it makes my whole heart swell with joy and happiness. He looks at me with loving eye's and directly at me...smiles!!!! Oh...it's wonderful! On a side note it's taken him till today, the 31st for him to smile at his Dad!!! Mom is special!!!!!!!!!!And another extra side note the dates on the pictures are wrong...my camera is psycho.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day Extravaganza! 1-19-09

Well, for Martin Luther King Jr. day we decided to have a family fun night for family night...Kirt had school off so we played together all morning...but, Kirt said he had to get some school work done later, but he thought we could all go see a movie. So, we thought we'd go see 'Bedtime stories'. So we drive to the South town Cinemas at the local mall and the showing we wanted to see was 3:15 pm well when we got there they were all sold out...they had another showing for 5:15 pm, but Kirt thought that would be to late. So we drove to a cheapo theater (Movies 8) that had older movies (just to take them to see any movie because we told the kids we were going to see one) and they were also sold out for that showing... so we then drove to the new theatre at the University Mall in the next city... and just as we got there the "new" theater wasn't sold out but the entire theater had just experienced a power failure and wouldn't be showing any more movies that day!! Kirt and I looked at each other at that point and figured maybe "Karma" was against us. So...we went back to the original theater that we didn't want to wait for and we got the tickets for the next showing at 5:15 pm we then went back home and grabbed ourselves some dinner before going to the movie. Boy, are our kids spoiled or what!?! And then after all that hassle, after the movie... Logan says "It was o.k., I wish we had done something else". And there you have it! I guess it doesn't really matter if things don't work out quite like you plan...kids will do anything!

"Hopscotch"

Well...I like to mention the cute things Logan says every once and a while...Kirt went to a career fair last week and for some reason they always hand out little toys and Kirt gave Logan an airplane that he got there; and it's one of those cheapy light wood, that's like paper kind. Well, Logan looks at what Kirt gives him and says "Dad, your so wonderful, thank you", then after about 5 minutes of play time Landon gets a hold of it and rips it into two and three and many more pieces. Logan looked at the airplane and says very happily..."Oh, that's o.k. I'll just go and get some 'hopscotch' to fix it!"(meaning scotch tape)...it was cute!!! I was very proud of my Logan, that he didn't get angry at his brother for ruining something that he really liked..I have a good boy!
